How to clear your web browser cache:

To clear a browser’s cache, navigate to the browser’s settings, find the “Privacy and security” or similar section, and locate the “Clear browsing data” option. Then, select “Cached images and files” and optionally “Cookies and other site data”. Choose the desired time range (e.g., “all time”) and click “Clear data”.

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and click the three dots (More) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to “Settings” then “Privacy and security”.
  3. Click “Clear browsing data”.
  4. Select “Cached images and files” and “Cookies and other site data”.
  5. Choose a time range (e.g., “All time”).
  6. Click “Clear data”.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and click the three lines (Menu) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to “Settings” then “Privacy & Security”.
  3. Scroll down to “Cookies and Site Data” and click “Clear Data”.
  4. Check “Cached Web Content” and “Cookies and Site Data”.
  5. Click “Clear”.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Edge and click the three dots (Settings and more) in the top right corner.
  2. Go to “Settings” then “Privacy, search, and services”.
  3. Under “Clear browsing data”, click “Choose what to clear”.
  4. Select “Cached images and files” and “Cookies and other site data”.
  5. Choose a time range (e.g., “All time”).
  6. Click “Clear now”.

Safari (macOS):

  1. Open Safari and go to “Safari” in the menu bar.
  2. Click “Preferences” then “Privacy”.
  3. Click “Manage Website Data” then “Remove All”.
  4. You can also clear history by going to History > Clear History.

Keyboard shortcuts:

Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows/Linux) or Command+Shift+Delete (macOS) can often open the “Clear browsing data” window directly.

If you’re still not seeing changes after clearing the cache, closing and restarting your browser can get the changes to take effect. Mobile devices, especially iPhones, can sometimes really hold on to the cache, so they might need to be completely restarted. If in doubt, always try another device.
